Elevate Your Event

Event design, audits, and remote management

Hi, I’m Caroline : Event Designer & Director

I work remotely with hosts, organizations, and planners to audit event plans, design the experience, and manage execution.

My career began in a busy university catering office, where I reviewed all event orders to catch and resolve problems before they reached the event floor. In the 13+ years of event management since, I’ve worked nearly every role on an event team, and have managed everything from multi-million-dollar scholarship galas to immersive experiences, nightlife to intimate dinners. With a master’s in executive leadership and organizational development, I bring a systems-thinking and human-centered design approach to your event. I find where a plan will strain or elevate and design the experience your guests remember.

I’m also co-founder and event director of Chroma & Sapor, offering gourmet private dining experiences custom-tailored to your occasion. Since 2016

A long white banquet table sits ready, in the distance a remote kitchen has been erected

Secret Forest Dinner

How can fine dining break out of the restaurant’s hold? By staging a five-courses gourmet dinner in the woods. I designed & managed every element of this seasonal adventure dining experience, bringing a complete kitchen and 24’ banquet table into the forest. Guests joke that this experience ruined restaurants for them. Years later, they are still inquiring about the next Secret Forest Dinner!

Fairy Picnic

It’s a public park, how do you make the mundane magical? By designing every element to weave a magic spell that transports guests from the ordinary to the enchanted. Highlights included a make-your-own flower crown bar and a bespoke live-action game to facilitate guest interaction with each other and the environment, along with an intentional departure from your typical fantasy plotlines! I love a good theme and have designed themed events from D&D to Halloween.

Fairy Quest

Blessed with familiar faces, how do you make an event more memorable? By not letting them stand around rehashing old times. Instead they made new memories with an Immersive Live Game Experience! FairyQuest is a complete game with something for everyone: quests, physical puzzles, riddles to solve, clues to gather, and a group scavenger hunt for a very special map. Players find their own magic, earn in-game currency, meet special characters, and survive an encounter with a bridge troll, all on their journey to an enchanting destination!

Milestone Performance & Dining

How do you deliver a high-end experience without traditional service and chinaware? With cohesive and clean design elements to create a gallery-like experience. Highlights included a “coffee service” chef-station serving fresh, homemade espresso ice cream and just-baked cookies. The clients said it elevated their event, and their guests are still raving. Guests were particularly thrilled to find no shared platters, chaffers, or utensils. I designed and managed the meal service, including sourcing premium disposables.

Printed sheets of guest name badges in the school colors are ready for a Class Reunion

Class Reunions

Time flies! How do you keep in touch over time & distance? By bringing people together on a reliable schedule, to connect, celebrate, and remember those lost. I’ve years of experience managing and executing college reunion weekends from the 5th to the 50th class reunions for hundreds of guests. Including their Reunion Committee & volunteer management, and virtual events. As well as having designed, managed, and executed a 3-day high school class reunion for 35 guests.

An arena stands ready for tonight's gala. Round donor tables in gold cover the stadium floor and balcony, rows of red stadium seats seen on the wing. In the distance, are large stage is set for an orchestra and special guest concert.

Galas & Fundraisers

How can all our guests feel included? By making sure no one is overlooked in the event design. I have years of experience managing and executing multi-million-dollar events. Including galas & special events, societies & leadership circles. From donor table and ticket sales, table and seating assignments, marketing, and stewardship. One scholarship gala funded awards for 350+ students each year. The problem: during the big finale the balloon drop only reached donor tables, leaving thousands of ticket holders as spectators. One guest described feeling “like serfs brought in to watch the lords feast in the middle ages.” My solution of deploying confetti cannons was a practical way to bring the whole arena into the peak moment.

Work with me

How it works:

  1. Inquire. Tell me about your event: date, guest count, location, what you need, and your budget range. Let me know if there are any particular challenges you’re facing.

  2. Scope and quote. I recommend the right starting point and send a quote.

  3. Deliver. We get to work!

Questions:

How does working remotely work? You’ll receive a mix of email communication, video meetings, shared documents, and direct coordination with your venue and vendors. Day-of oversight includes text and voice calls for rapid access.

What do you need from me? Your event date, guest count, location, budget range, and any existing plan or vendor list, and any other parameters.

What’s your bandwidth? I take on a limited number of projects at any time so every event gets my full attention.

How soon can we start? As soon as your signed contract and initial payment are received, I’ll get to work on your occasion!
